dil ne faisla aakhir diya
khoobsoorat hi sahi
lekin ye duniya jhooT hai
after ages, my heart, finally,
has given out this judgment
it is a beautiful world, no doubt,
but, it is a lie

tu samajhta hai mujhe
tujh se gila kuchh bhi naheen

woh muskura ke koi
baat kar raha tha 'shumar'
aur us ke lafz bhi thay
chaandni mein bikhre hue
he was smiling and
saying something, ‘shumar’
and his words too…
were scattered with moonlight
