Ameer Imam, born on 30 June 1984 in Sambhal, Uttar Pradesh, is a rising star in contemporary Urdu ghazal. Holding a master's degree in English, he currently teaches while nurturing a flourishing poetic career.
He is celebrated for his imaginative verses and inventive use of similes and metaphors, which bring new dimensions to familiar themes. His debut collection, Naqsh-e-Pa Hawaa Ke, brought him the Sahitya Akademi Yuva Puraskar, and his second collection, Subh-Ba-Khair Zindagi, further cemented his reputation in literary circles.
