Description of sulh: Sulh is an Arabic word meaning peaceful resolution or amicable settlement of disputes, often through negotiation and mediation to restore harmony. Unlike adversarial litigation, which imposes a winner-loser verdict, sulh prioritizes mutual agreement preserving both parties' dignity. Differs from arbitration, as it relies on voluntary compromise rather than binding third-party decisions.
