1 Urdu couplets and shers with baatil

baatil(m): falsehood

Description of baatil: The Urdu word baatil means false, invalid, or void, referring to something untrue, unfounded, or lacking reality. Unlike haq , which endures and holds substance, baatil dissipates under scrutiny. Differs from fasid , as baatil is entirely null from inception, while fasid may partially proceed. In Urdu poetry, it evokes fleeting illusions, as in Ghalib's verses decrying worldly vanities as baatil.
