Interpretation

In Urdu poetry, mai (wine), maikhaana (tavern), saaqi (cupbearer), saaghar (goblet), saboo (flask), rind (carefree drinker), and khumaar (lingering intoxication) form a rich symbolic world that blends creativity, love, and a gentle touch of spirituality. Mai represents both inspiration and passion...the intoxicating force that drives creative art, thought, or devotion.
