1 Urdu couplets and shers with siin

siin(m): with, to, about

Description of siin: Siin is the twenty-first letter of the Urdu alphabet, pronounced as /si?n/, representing the voiceless alveolar fricative sound. Unlike the Arabic seen, which is pronounced /si?n/ with a pure 's' sound, Urdu siin maintains this exact phoneme without retroflex variation. Differs from the next letter swaad, which adds a retroflex 's' . In Urdu poetry, siin often evokes serenity, as in verses depicting siin-e-seher .
