1 Urdu couplets and shers with phalaang

phalaang(m): leap across

Description of phalaang: Phalaang is an Urdu word referring to the phalanges, the small long bones forming the fingers and toes. Unlike the metacarpals or metatarsals that connect to the palm or sole, phalaang specifically denotes the segmented digital bones enabling precise grip and movement. Differs from lakdi , as it anatomically targets these skeletal elements. In Urdu poetry, phalaang evokes delicate finger imagery in ghazals about longing touches.
