1 Urdu couplets and shers with daanista

daanista(m): knowingly, deliberately

Description of daanista: Daanista is an Urdu adverb meaning "knowingly," "deliberately," or "intentionally," derived from the Persian perfect participle of "d?nistan" . Unlike naa-daanista, which denotes actions done unintentionally or by mistake, daanista implies full awareness and purpose. It differs from diida-daanista by lacking the added emphasis on "having seen" alongside knowing. In poetry, as in "d?nista ham ne apne sabh? ?ham chhup? liye" , it conveys conscious restraint.
