1 Urdu couplets and shers with dareechon

dareechon(m): windows

Description of dareechon: 'Dareechon' is the plural form of the Urdu word 'dareecha' , meaning 'windows' or small window-like openings in architecture. Unlike larger khirki , which are standard room windows, dareechon often denote ornate or latticed ventilators. Differs from parda , as it refers to the physical aperture itself. In Urdu poetry, dareechon evoke framed views of chaos, as in: "baahar hai qayaamat ka jo manzar to hamen kya" .
