Nuur Biography

Krishn Bihari Noor was a distinguished Urdu and Hindi poet born in 1926 in Lucknow. He received his early education at home and later attended a high school in Aminabad. He graduated from Lucknow University and joined the RLO department in Lucknow, where he eventually retired as Assistant Manager in 1984.

He was proficient in both Urdu and Devanagari scripts and was a disciple of Fazal Naqvi. His poetry reflects the cultural and linguistic traditions of Lucknow and carries the refined tone for which the city’s literary heritage is known.

His major works include Dukh-Sukh, Tapasya, Samandar Meri Talash Mein, Hussainiyat Ki Chaaon Mein and Tajjalli-e-Noor. He wrote poetry in both Urdu and Hindi, blending themes of devotion, humanity, and personal reflection.

Krishn Bihari Noor passed away in 2003 in Ghaziabad during a surgical operation. He is remembered as a poet who bridged Urdu and Hindi traditions and upheld the elegance of the Lucknow style of poetic expression.
