Interpretation

This verse perhaps reflects the deep emotional void left by someone’s departure. 


While the act of saying goodbye seemed straightforward, shaayar Fazli is struck by the realization that the person leaving has taken more than their physical presence — they have taken away the essence of home itself. 


This sher seems metaphorically to represent how someone's absence can strip away the warmth, comfort, or life from the environment they left behind.
