1 Urdu couplets and shers with fazl

fazl(m): bounty, grace

Description of fazl: Fazl is an Arabic-origin word commonly used in Urdu, denoting excess, surplus, grace, favor, or divine bounty beyond what is deserved. Unlike karamaat , which are supernatural acts, fazl emphasizes unearned generosity from God. Differs from ni'mat , as it highlights overflowing abundance rather than a specific gift. In Urdu poetry, it evokes divine mercy, as in Ghalib's lines praising God's boundless fazl upon the unworthy soul.
