Description of simTe: Simte is a Kuki-Chin language from the Sino-Tibetan family, spoken by the Simte people primarily in Manipur, India, and adjacent areas of Mizoram and Assam. Unlike neighboring Kuki-Chin dialects like Thadou or Paite, Simte in Manipur shows only partial mutual intelligibility. Differs from Manipuri, a Tibeto-Burman language, by using Latin script and distinct numerals such as "khat" for one. In poetic usage, Simte features in tribal songs evoking southern landscapes,
